This is a major flaw in the system.
If someone is medically diagnosed with a lifelong /or deteriorating condition a vast amount of money is wasted in a programme of reassessments.
There needs to be a shift to acceptance of lifelong being just that and if someone is identified at needing the highest level of support then that being confirmed forever.
The stress of unnecessary reassessment also complicates people's lives - the fear of losing the needed support etc

For anyone who has spent the last few months wondering what on earth I'm doing... 😆
After five years of talking about standing for council, I've decided not to.
It wasn't the plan.

Disabled people are not "living off the state". Many are being kept barely above collapse by a system that already underpays, delays, reassesses, disbelieves and exhausts them. Cutting that further is not reform. It is cruelty.
🏴 Only the Scottish National Party will stand up for Scotland in Westminster!
🫵 If 𝘆𝗼𝘂 live in the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry constituency, remember to vote for @larabirdsnp in next week's by-election!
🗳️ For a better, brighter future #VoteSNP.
Seriously?
Scotland is going to be charged £1 billion for the privilege of suppling energy to England?
And then we get charged the highest rate
FFS, Westminster is really taking the proverbial.
Muscular unionism at is most vicious.
We need #ScottishIndependence
💥 Delighted to see @larabirdsnp selected to contest the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry by-election for @theSNP.
Lara is a tireless campaigner for Scottish Independence and would prove an outstanding representative for this constituency if elected. 🏴
I have three adult children. One grandbaby ❤️
None of my children had a vote in 2014. Half a lifetime away for them.
Is this a voluntary union? If so, how can we leave?
We’ll be the best neighbours ever - we’d just like to make our own decisions.
Happy 2nd Birthday to @GoodFoodScot Linthouse Community Shop today and a huge thanks to everyone who has shopped there. It started out operating from @LinthouseHA warehouse and moved into the shop in May 2024. Where has the time gone!
🏴📱 On a personal level, I’ve now led digital communications for the SNP through nine winning national election campaigns across Holyrood, Westminster, European and Scotland-wide local elections.
I’m incredibly proud of our digital team, who just quietly got on with the job.
💥 The moment Zen Ghani, @theSNP’s youngest candidate - just 24 years old - beats Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar in Glasgow.
Big congrats to Zen! Labour getting totally rejected across the board.
