Sharing a useful habit as a mum-to-be:
Regular pelvic floor exercises
Not just for pregnancy/postpartum, apparently, pelvic floor health matters to both women and men.
I try to do 2 exercises each week to support my pregnancy, yes, I'll ask my husband to do them too.
Sharing a useful habit as a mum-to-be:
10 minutes of daily self-care
Pregnancy can become all about the baby: what to eat, how to sit and sleep, and what to buy.
This is when we need to remember to love ourselves. Enjoy one small thing each day - a snack, a novel, only for me.
Sharing a useful habit as a mum-to-be:
Habit: Weekly pregnancy videos
Every week, I take 20 minutes to watch a couple of pregnancy videos on YouTube.
These two channels are quite helpful:
Today’s Parent: https://t.co/mUpEEG4GWn
Diana in the Pink: https://t.co/h9Z3OLmTo6
Sharing a useful habit as a mum-to-be:
Habit: Daily reading
Becoming a parent is a great learning experience.
Reading every day about my body, baby development, and parenting helps me feel informed and grounded.
One of the books I liked is Expecting Better by @ProfEmilyOster
Sharing a useful habit as a mum-to-be:
Habit: Daily weight check-in
So far, I’ve gained 16kg during pregnancy. Checking weight daily helps me observe the trend and stay mindful of eating healthily. Important to note here not to obsess over the number, which can be stressful.
Sharing a useful habit as a mum-to-be:
Habit: Daily affirmations
A few years ago, when I was trying to find more confidence in life, I discovered affirmations through the SAVERS morning routine.
Now, daily affirmations help me to feel more mindful: https://t.co/JFNlIwlZfP
@AnthropicAI, hey, just flagging that the calendar setting for this event page seems off: https://t.co/nOOdoLLCxI
The event page says 09:00 UK time, but 'Add to Google Calendar' shows 16:45 UK time.

Habit: Listening to my body
Modern life made me lose touch with my body. Grateful that pregnancy reminded me to pay attention to what it is trying to tell me - this feels like a lost skill...

Habit: Weekly date night
I got some advice to go on more date nights before the baby arrives.
So we’ve made it a weekly habit, especially trying places we know will be harder to visit later.

Habit: Daily vitamins
I never used to take supplements, but I've been hearing that it's important during pregnancy. So I've been taking essential vitamins, plus calcium & iron every day.

Habit: Daily 10k Steps
Since the third trimester, I’ve stopped running. With a bump, it's a lot to ask of my body, but I do miss it.
10k steps has become a new habit to stay active.

Habit: Daily Daddy Sing-a-Song 🎶
The fetus can hear external sounds from week 24.
So I've been asking my hubby to sing a song every evening.
A great and loving way for them to bond.
Entering the third trimester today!
To mark this journey of becoming a mother, I’m starting a small daily Twitter challenge -> sharing one useful habit each day as a mum-to-be.
Habit 1: Keep a food journal
Been logging daily of what I eat, then use AI to do a review on Sunday
Somehow, winter and Jan make me nostalgic.
My mum and her mum have a strained relationship. Because of that, I have not met my grandmother or even heard about her for years.
Today I realised I don't even know her full name. You don't choose your family, but you carry the grief.
When I was 10, I had to move alone to Wuhan to live with my grandma for over a year.
Transfer kid. Didn't understand the local accent. No parent pick-ups. Lost, confused, and my period started.
It was hard. I suffered.
But looking back, it toughened me and forged resilience.
When I was 25, my mum insisted we go to an art studio to take photos together: me and her.
I asked why. She said, 'Because you'll never be this beautiful.'
I'm 36, and I feel beautiful.
I also see, she was worried about herself; she was 50 then. Hope she feels beautiful now.
Happy New Year 2026 ✨
Wishing you and your family lots of health, joy, and peace!
This wraps up my daily December tweet challenge on healthy habits.
A toast to another year of building healthy micro-habits that move us closer to our goals in life and in work.

Context & prompt library
As we use AI a lot, it's useful to have reusable 'assets':
- Personal context (e.g., research restaurants)
- Work context (e.g., write better comms)
- Power prompts (e.g., chain of thoughts)
A single doc would do
Healthy habits that changed my life 👇
Regular hot bath or sauna
High heat, like a hot bath or a sauna, can lower your cortisol levels & improve blood flow.
That 'ahh' when you can't help but breathe out, like a fish to the water.
A self-care gift for myself, whenever I can.
