@vadakkus @bitcoinmalayali Similar situation in Punjab. Locals bolting off to west at lightning speed, those who cannot marry NRIs and settle there. Only difference is Punjabis prefer trucking and catering. Nursing hasn't caught our imagination yet lol at least for now

@savarnafascist Similar situation in Punjab. Village after village is empty or populated by the elderly. Local schools & colleges r populated by UP, bihar students. Now parents are selling off their land and moving abroad to be with their children

Literally everyone has migrated. His own daughter is studying nursing and he plans to monetize his small rubber estate to fund her visa for Europe

@bitcoinmalayali @vadakkus Visited Kottayam, Idukki and Vagaom in April. Our driver told us that most houses have only elderly as all youngsters have migrated. His own daughter is studying nursing in Coimbatore and he is planning to sell his 4 acre rubber estate to fund her visa

Politicians can only rant but where are the well paying jobs for the youth? Everyone cannot be given a government job and entry level private jobs, most if not all, pay peanuts
