A lot of MAGA economic policy is based on the false believe that manufacturing jobs (what was lost to foreign countries) were somehow better jobs than what replaced them.

They were NOT intrinsically better, but what a lot of them had that newer jobs don't have is that they were UNIONIZED.

Congress has the power to give everyone the benefits of unionized jobs by just raising the minimum wage until it's equal to whatever you think a unionized manufacturing job would pay.

I liked Vivek because of his Reaganesque optimism, but the ad with Amy Acton's white trash mother is something that Reagan would never have approved of.

My take, as someone who doesn't live Israel but who doesn't want to see another genocide of Jews, this time by Muslims instead of Germans, is that Israel would be diplomatically a lot better off with a change in leadership.

And internally, Eisenkot's policy difference that's most important is making the Haredi serve in the military like all other Jewish Israeli citizens. Israel needs to make that happen, because the Haredi are growing in numbers and Israel will be stuck with a large number of citizens who just pray and don't to anything militarily or economically useful, unless they force them to integrate.
