This deception can occur on social media platforms, dating apps, or other online forums and is usually intended to engage in emotional manipulation, scam someone out of money, or simply engage in identity play for entertainment or psychological reasons. The term "catfish" gained widespread recognition after the 2010 documentary "Catfish," which documented this type of deceptive online relationship.

“SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS START WITH YOU”

You can feel like texting and exchanging pictures build a trust in a relationship. But my opinion is different then yours. I am not going to be the first to show trust by risking my own money. You have to prove to me that you have serious feelings for me before I will trust you with my money. You may trust me by text and chat and by the pictures I send you, but my trust don't work the same way. You want a serious relationship with me, then you have to show me that you have real, serious feelings with me before I have to trust sending you any of my money. You have to spend a day to upto 2 weeks with me at my apartment or I have to spend time with you at your apartment. If you seriously can't do that with me, then you tell me that you don't have serious feelings for me to be in a serious relationship with me.

I build trust with someone I know personally. If you can't be with me personally, then you show me that you can't be serious with me. I am not an ordinary man, I don't work the same as any normal guy whom you have ever met before. I based my faith on Jesus Christ alone because I know he will never let me down. People can be misleading and deceiving. You need money from me does not convince me that you want to seriously be with me. It only tells me that you seriously want my money.

I am an honest and fair man. That's why I can come to your place if you can't afford to come to my place to spend time with me. I am not like other men that you placed trust in before. I am an extraudinary man because once I am with you personally, you have earned my trust to sending you money when I have enough available. If you can't do it my way then find an ordinary guy who will do things your way. I build trust with the first connection we make that is real. Until I know you are real to me, I won't really trust you with any of my money.

If you want a man who will be loyal, caring, loving and never set his sight on another woman, then you show me that you will be with me. If you're out of the area, then you are not in my contact range. I make an honest choice to make a connection with a real woman locally. I can wait for the right woman to show me she loves me. When you need money from me before we meet face to face, that's where I make my boundary known. I won't send any woman any of my money until I know you have serious feelings for me.

Texting me, sharing words with me, sharing pictures with me, doesn't show me that you will be there for me if I need you. You can't support me emotional or mentally or even physically until you can be in the same room as me. If I have to pay for an emergency, then I don't need you. That's what hospitals, mental health and doctors and nurses are for. You need emergency transportation, you call for an ambulance. I am not anyone's savior or hero. I don't expect anyone to be my savior or hero except for Jesus Christ. I handle my own expenses and my own travel arrangements. I don't ask anyone to take care of them for me so I expect the same to be true of the woman who I will someday marry. I don't want a woman to depend on me, I don't want to be dependant on any woman, I want a woman who can hold her own and be an asset to the household when my well runs dry. I need someone who can build with me not by tearing me down to build themselves up, by building us up together in unity. A couple that stands side by side together and can support the other one when needed, that is a marriage built by the grace of God. You don't knock someone down to pick yourself up. You pick someone up so they will pick you up when you fall down. That is a love that is grounded in The Triune God, a love that is forever true, a love that is for me and you. It's not about what the other person can do for you, it's what you can do for the other person that makes love matter. Where you place your heart is where you will find your home. “Home is where your heart is.” Make your heart go where you want it to be, don't try to get someone to bring you to their doorstep. Be there for the important moments, for all the good and bad moments, be there for me when I have nothing to give but my heart and love. Make the moments that will make the best memories for us to have a strong, real, serious, lasting forever and always and beyond all measure type of relationship. Support each others' dream but live within your own means. Take care of your needs first before you seek a serious relationship with the right man or woman. No one wants to place a burden upon someone else so make sure you can be an asset for them instead. Peace be with you, peace I give you, and love endures the test of time so don't let it be a crime.
