@DetroitPodcast I can’t rationalize demanding your release bc you want more money, then when the organization grants your request and eats the dead money that came with doing so, being upset that they won’t pick up the phone
I know I’m of the minority, but I don’t want the lions to do much more in FA. C was my main priority, I would heavily prefer we draft a tackle/edge duo in r1/r2, then trade back up in the 2nd for a corner, trade up into the 3rd for an off ball linebacker, then fill in from there
Taylor decker wasn’t a liability last year, but I don’t think his contract was justifiable anymore. My take is that you cannot trust a rookie T to take the blindside, you Have to move penei back to LT if you address T in the draft, otherwise trade for a LT bc one won’t be in FA
@SleeperDetroit No! Not only do we have pressing needs to fill, but it sets a definite window for when we need to win before we reach the point of no return
@Spenmorax No absolutely not. We have 3 offensive line holes to fill, limited cap space, and better options elsewhere for our situation. We do not need to be giving up multiple first round picks for an aging star on a 30 million dollar contract, it just doesn’t make sense
