@PavelSachkovsky@yehudashamay
@BinyaBags@andebetayalla
Today, I am proud to be Israeli.
Despite all the shaming.
Despite all the UN "resolutions".
Despite all the academics.
Despite all the online pressure.
Israel is cleaning the Middle East from radical religious terrorists. One by one.
They will not thank us for it.
But someone had to do the job.
As a Palestinian who refuses to parrot our leadership’s lies, I have to say it bluntly: Telling Mizrahi Jews - Jews from Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, and the rest of the Arab world, that they are doing “ethnic cleansing” to us is the gaslight of the century.
Let’s start with facts. Mizrahi Jews didn’t “come from Europe.” They lived in the Middle East for thousands of years, long before Islam, long before Arab conquest, long before any modern state. Their ancestors spoke the same ancient Hebrew mentioned in the Qur’an’s stories, they prayed facing Jerusalem, and their communities in Babylon, Damascus, and Sana’a existed for over 2,500 years. They are as indigenous to this region as the olive trees, as native to the Middle East as we are.
When Arab states turned against them in the 20th century, after Israel was established, they were ethnically cleansed: homes looted, businesses seized, citizenship revoked, synagogues burned, people lynched. Nearly a million Jews were expelled from Arab lands. Most fled to Israel with nothing.
And now, decades later, our leadership dares to call them the colonizers? The same families who were driven from Baghdad, Aleppo, and Tripoli - who rebuilt their lives from refugee camps in Israel, are accused of committing the same crime that was done to them. That’s not just hypocrisy; it’s historical amnesia.
If we truly want justice, we have to stop gaslighting our neighbors and start acknowledging that their story is Middle Eastern too.
Our liberation won’t come from denying theirs.
5. Shehada writes: “that’s not how international law works, its utmost principle is a prohibition on acquisition of territory by force; I.e. you can’t just steal land by conquest & military power anymore!” – Shehada omits the fact that Israel was not formed via force or conquest. It was formed by the colonial powers and UN in 1947-1948 along with an Arab state. No force was involved. One can claim the states formed by colonial powers and/or UN are not legitimate, but then this means Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and others along with the Arab state formed in the partition plan are also not legitimate. After Arabs rejected partition and attacked Jews and the new Jewish state, Israel fought back this war of elimination and acquired more territory. The acquisition of territory in a defensive war was seen as legitimate at the time and indeed the UN and many nations recognized the new boundaries of Israel. Shehada fabricates a so-called “Zionist argument.”
Visiting Ramallah in the West Bank, Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel asks UNRWA representatives why their textbooks for Palestinian school kids are full of antisemitism and terrorism glorification.
He holds one of the books in his hands but get no response from UNRWA
Iran isn’t getting bombed by any foreign countries, but don’t worry, the Islamic Republic is still busy executing gay people and kidnapping, arresting, torturing, and killing women for daring to show a strand of hair and an improper head covering.
So FUCK SNL.
The photo is a real photo of the public execution of two gay men in Iran.
Hi Omar, people can actually change their views based on new information.
I was a retarded socialist in 2020 who had never read anything about Israel-Palestine. I was 20 years old and just imbibed general vibes from my university peers that Palestine = indigenous wholesome chungus and Israel = bad European coloniser.
Then I actually read a book and learned that half the Israeli Jewish population descend from Jewish populations ethnically cleansed from the Middle East and North Africa and they have nowhere else to go. And this is to say nothing of the countless European Jews who fled to Israel to escape the Holocaust as well as earlier extreme pogroms in Eastern Europe. They can’t meaningfully be called colonisers because these people were all refugees.
Jewish people have their own indigenous heritage ties to the land which I believe to be co-equal with Palestinian ties to the land which is why I support a two state solution.
However I’ve actually studied the history of the conflict after October 7 and I’ve concluded from my reading that every war started against Israel since 1948 has been a genocidal attempt by Arab nationalists and Islamists to drive the Yahud into the sea - effectively carrying out a Second Holocaust.
The scales over my eyes were lifted by the horror of October 7 and the fact that celebrations of October 7 are just completely mainstream within the pro-Palestine movement.
There are like 5 Palestinian guys I follow who outright condemn October 7 (@HowidyHamza, @afalkhatib, @IhabHassane, @aziz0nomics and ironically Omar himself @3lfares although Omar constantly attacks most of these other guys as race traitors while advocating the destruction of Israel).
Sadly the rest of the pro-Palestine movement - both in real life (see demonstrations in Australia, US, UK, Canada) and online - seem to constantly promote October 7, engage in rampant anti-Semitism, make constant apologetics for Islamist terrorism, and engage in genocidal dehumanisation of Israelis. This is what led to the change in my views. I’ve also unfortunately become a lot tougher since Hamas executed the 6 hostages. I now believe Hamas and Hezbollah both need to be comprehensively militarily defeated and dismantled. There just cannot be any room for these terrorist groups to remain in power after this horrible war. Because then all the bloodshed will inevitably start back up again when they regroup and attempt to invade Israel again in a few years time.
