@igkolev Many agree that obesity is a disease. Not 100% of people always agree on anything.

@igkolev It fits the WHO definition of disease. A disease is a particular abnormal condition that adversely affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism and is not immediately due to any external injury.

@igkolev Obesity disease is different from obesity or overweight. When the person is suffering from this disease, we have to recognize it and help the person suffering. In fact, poverty and environment can also affect the options of available food and exercise.

@igkolev Many diseases can be caused by factors enhanced by the person, still recognized as diseases. Obesity is no exception. Food consumption and exercise levels themselves are not always under full control of the person. Furthermore, this control can be lost.
