@rioferdy5 The game ended when Neymar came on. Don Carlo should have trusted instincts instead of giving a has been game time in hope rather than expectation. As for Haaland….. WOW
@BBCSport On a staggeringly high contract and powers waning so no surprise they want to explore getting him off the wage book. FWIW I think they should keep him for his leadership. Lots of turbulence at Lpool recently so need to keep people who know what playing for the club is all about.
@JNorthcroft I do think a lot of hindsight is being applied here. He is a great player but let’s not pretend that he had a good season. For me the bigger crimes were not taking experienced defenders and proper full backs.
@OcBen PLUS more noise needs making about Chelsea. Committed fraud, gained a SIGNIFICANT sporting advantage, pleaded guilty and got……….£10m fine! There are bigger crimes out there
@OcBen Villa fans need to pack it in. Villa are being shafted by a set of ridiculous rules that protect the elite. Spurs can spend because they are a big club & have built a model that generates huge revenue. If Villa have issues then take it up with the PL for their foolish rules
@RioMeets@rioferdy5 I think it’s fantastic Spurs are laying £85m on Fernandes and City £130m on Anderson. It means we keep Wharton for another year because he is better than both IMO and therefore we should command nothing less than what Anderson goes for. Crazy market but it works in our favour
@_PaulHayward But if Gay is injured, didn’t come out to bat next, then is it that self-indulgent? Either way, it was thoroughly entertaining and Englands issues run deeper.
@henrywinter Not sure what was the bigger risk. Taking James and Liveremento who are made of glass and were always likely to smash, OR, deciding the back up should be 3 centre backs (and not very good ones at that)
@Luke_Seychell And not for the fee reported. Spurs have purchased Van Hecke with only 1 year left on his deal for £52M FFS! We should not be considering this but IF we are then the price is £60-£70M or no deal.
@henrywinter Tough when playing 11 men behind the ball. BUT we should never see a RB playing LB again (closes off a 3rd of the pitch), James is not agile enough, and Rice looks Cooked. However, Saka looked good off the bench, Guehi assured, and we didn’t lose. Onto the next 🏴
@JohnSunCricket On the bright side all the players should make the curfew tonight. To get through 12 hours of drinking in this weather will take some doing. Then again, would give them a greater chance of doing that than batting for more than 60 overs!!
@JackPittBrooke Exactly. I was not happy at HT (Guehi not starting is daft) but overall a good performance. Second half was excellent. And Kane? Love the bloke. Genuinely world class.
