I can't believe this. I have wanted this role since before I even started trickjumping, and now it's finally over. 13th Elite, 5th Insanity, and without a doubt my new hardest trickjump. #SuperMarioOdyssey#NintendoSwitch
@AzulBlitz@Joracle_@playpokemon What broadcast issues bro? You can literally watch the replay back to verify yourself that nothing happened when he hit the table. Plus even besides that, how do you receive a game loss when the infraction occurred after the tournament-deciding game had already concluded???
@autisuns@UmbleUmbleBee@Niftski I no longer believe the vote was necessarily conspiratorial. Aside from that though, I still believe the vote was unfair (despite not being outright rigged), and my view on averge's toxicity has not changed.
@autisuns@UmbleUmbleBee@Niftski As for your question of why this is a big deal, remember that we're talking about Niftski's livelihood here. He's making steps towards the single most important achievement in speedrunning history and is being denied on a biased technicality that doesn't even make sense.
@autisuns@UmbleUmbleBee@Niftski Third, in regards to you saying "it should have been resolved privately rather than airing it out", you seriously think they didn't try that route first? A resolution clearly wasn't being reached privately, else the video and documents wouldn't have been necessary.
@WhenErasMagnet @akuna_kun You do know Abducted's coin is the hardest coin in either of the two new gauntlets, right? If you wanna get that, you have to put in a considerably larger amount of effort.
@QalliCallie I'm very confused. What exactly is the issue here? Like yeah, the gameplay is very forgiving, but like...who cares? It's not the level's problem if you deliberately choose to play as little as possible.
@jgreene918@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry For what reason should the graph start in 2012 as opposed to any other election year? The smaller the data set, the less valuable the graph. Here's the same graph with data from 1900 to 2020 (from Wikipedia). Does 2020 really look like a significant outlier here?
@jgreene918@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry 2020's results aren't actually that much of an outlier. It just looks like it on this graph since
1. 2024 hasn't been fully counted yet
2. The scale of the graph is based on a wildly small data set and
3. The graph doesn't account for the increase in the total population
@CaptChadSparrow@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry Have you crunched the numbers? Cause if so, why not just tell me them, and if not, you can't make the claim that there's evidence that it's statistically impossible or even unlikely because you don't have that evidence.
@n8bro@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry That claim on its own is correct. However, outliers can have multiple causes, so while you can't ignore it, you also can't claim it's due to one particular cause without considering the other possible causes.
@CaptChadSparrow@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry I don't care how skeptical you want to be about it, it's not statistically impossible. That would imply that the number of votes exceeds the number of registered voters which is incorrect. You could argue for it being statistically unlikely though (assuming you have evidence).
@JasonYaySon@Pablo18912685@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry It seemed to me like the mainstream media was giving Trump a slight edge, no? Either way, most sources I had read prior to the election said the predictions were basically 50/50. Small nitpick, but yeah.
@anthony556762@MikeRay_22@aintscarylarry Honestly, really good answer, and tbh you're pretty much exactly right. It's just that I think your perception of the relationship between the spike and the voting method differs from mine a bit. This kind of answer is what I wanted to see though.
