@matpolloy I like the one in Skeleton Crew. it sets up the villains, it doesnโt over-explain, and it still gives you the feeling that this is truly a Space Fantasy and not just flavored Sci-Fi.
@jwsherrod The Doylist answer is that that wouldnโt make as interesting a story as the one he was telling. The Watsonian answer is it would take an insane amount of concentration. In Light of the Jedi it took around a hundred Jedi to alter the trajectory of a meteor and some died doing it.
@Kyru117@adm_ezri@Meelsie143 Itโs also written for 12 year olds. Granted they still are very well written but thatโs the target audience. Why not throw in a little geography?
@Linksgeflauscht@Kerrcarr01 I mean thatโs basically what they are in-universe from the perspective of high ranking imperials but I get what you mean.
@HimejoshiLover Are you talking about the cinematography? I think thatโs just Robert Rodriguez refusing to work with anything more than the bare minimum budget on any project.
@zweiwalker89607 It would be a bit like if the Waco cult took over a whole region of Texas not just their little compound, leading to a yearlong standoff. You could call it an insurrection at the very least.
@codyfux@big_cheddars@Jacob_deNobel Yeah the Vader and Star Wars mainline are bad, but the Kenobi comic from a couple years ago are almost directly shots from the show with a cartoon filter over them.
@codyfux@big_cheddars@Jacob_deNobel Larocca is good when heโs not blatantly tracing over frames from the movies. Like there are times where you can tell from Lukeโs face exactly what scene from ANH he traced off of.
@MarcoMilk Tbh I take it as a part of Star Wars charm that shooting a door panel always does exactly what you need it to do (except for that one time in A New Hope)
See also: Shakespeareโs King Lear, whose story focuses around his relationship with his daughter who loves him but is cast out, and a civil war that happens as a result of his actions. A bit of a stretch but the connection is there.
โLearโ is of course โRaelโ backwards so after 22 episodes of the series, this is where we finally meet the โRealโ Luthen: the soldier who has helped to massacre Kleyaโs familyโฆ
