People ask all the time, what is SaltWrap?
Where did that name come from?
The name SaltWrap came from the Epsom salt-soaked bandages my mom would make to help patch up injuries I got from playing sports as a kid.
That’s where the name came from, but that’s not what it means.

Do your hips always feel tight no matter how much you stretch them?
So many yogis keep trying to “release” the same areas (hips, upper back, shoulders) and when the tightness inevitably returns, the instinct is to stretch more.
Go deeper. Be more consistent.
But what Scott Hogan shared in this conversation really shifted how I think about this:
Sometimes the tightness isn’t the problem. It’s the compensation.
When your core and spine don’t feel stable enough, your body starts gripping in other places to create that sense of support.
And that often shows up exactly where we try to stretch the most.
So you can keep chasing release, but until your body feels more supported, it may not actually let go.
This episode connects the dots in a way I think a lot of yogis have been missing.

Dan Sullivan once said that if you track an entrepreneur's life back to their childhood, you'll typically find them still doing something they started as a kid.

Yanking on ligaments and calling it “injury prevention” is lazy thinking. If static stretching was the answer, we’d all be bulletproof by now.
Stop wasting time and start training tissues that actually matter.

“Collagen isn’t magic fairy dust. But when you understand why and how it actually works, especially for connective tissue, you can stop parroting influencer nonsense and start making intelligent decisions.
Scott Hogan @scotthhogan cuts through the hype and explains what collagen actually does… and what it doesn’t.
