Daniel was awarded a posthumous George Medal for his actions in Afghanistan. On one occasion, he cleared 13 IEDs in the space of 36 hours by hand. What a brave and courageous man he was ❤️

Captain Robert Wade-Gery, Royal Garrison Artillery, was killed while observing the fire of his battery. He had joined the army in 1903, arrived in France in October 1914, and was awarded an MC in 1916. He also played rugby for the army.
