A lot of people never bought it.

People pointed to several things:

• Very limited footage of them actually inside the rocket during ascent

• No oxygen masks or helmets visible in key moments

• The hatch door appearing to open from the outside, with someone quickly closing it

• The short duration and highly produced camera work

Some believe the flight was staged or heavily exaggerated as part of a PR push.

Blue Origin (Jeff Bezos) is competing with SpaceX for major NASA contracts, including lunar lander work.

Others go further and claim the entire public space race is more theater than reality.

So should we really be calling rich celebrities “astronauts” after an 11 minute joyride… or is this just another expensive PR stunt?
