I’ve followed and supported the work of the @DWP communication team in explaining how the introduction of Universal Credit is improving and simplifying the benefit system. I’m consistently impressed by their work, creativity and evidence of impact. https://t.co/KpQE107Bgf
@JosephineCumbo Hi Josephine, our SoS made clear earlier this week that government has no plans to raise the SPA beyond 68, as currently set out in legislation. The proposals covered at the wkend were nothing to do with DWP, just a think tank floating an idea!
To be crystal clear - it is absolutely NOT government policy to raise the state pension age. Reports about this over the weekend were based on a proposal by a think tank, NOT the DWP
Warm reception for @AmberRuddHR as she tells staff @DWP she’s “delighted” to resume her mission to “improve the quality of people’s lives” following her reappointment as Work and Pensions Secretary.
