@Romy_Holland I went to a party with my first as a newborn and he was an incredibly fussy baby, up all night, every night. We were not doing well.

An old biddy said to enjoy this age, it's the best, magical etc. The look of horror on her face when I said, stone faced, "I certainly hope not"

@a_hushed_garden I obviously don't know your exact medical situation, but anecdotally my friend/SIL did multiple failed IVFs (5 years trying) and as one last long shot before quitting, did a round of IUI. She's due next month. Bodies are weird but I believe in yours to get over the finish line 💜

@CartoonsHateHer The logistics of restaurants/vacations is a nightmare. We went to get ice cream after a day out and I had to choose between buying an ice cream for my autistic kid that he will gag even looking at, or get everyone BUT him an ice cream and look like I'm neglecting one child

@Parkerlawyer I hate McDonald's burgers but craved them like crazy with my second pregnancy. As soon as I gave birth all desire for the arches went back to zero, but I tried a bite a few weeks after just to see and yup, it was the last time lol

@alyssaleann We had two summers of, "do all the fun things now before baby!" while dealing with infertility, but the third I was finally pregnant. Wishing you a similar happy ending 💜

A dude with a foreign wife was told in her culture the man must give a dowry to the wife's whole family, in this case in the form of 4(?) pelotons. But maybe it was a fever dream because I CANNOT FIND IT💀

@alyssaleann Omg same. To this day I get the ick when I see my wedding photos because the dress is so not me. I recently bought a new one to celebrate my 10th anniversary in and I feel *so* much better in it.

@CartoonsHateHer Elyse Myers talked about waiting to do things until her anxiety at it went away, eventually realizing it won't and to just "do it scared". Changed my life. I got my driver's licence, addressed health issues. When my anxiety tells me no I still tell myself to just do it scared

@alyssaleann My second clearly loved when I'd eat, especially rich foods, and when she was a baby all she wanted to do was nurse and sleep. She's still my little gourmand at 5 years old!

@CartoonsHateHer My husband and I are food socialists I guess? We try to coordinate if there are dishes we both happen to want, but it's always optional, and when we share it's usually a small portion, not an equal serving. The idea he couldn't get what he wanted because I don't like it is 💀
