Falling ice and snow can damage propane storage tanks, piping, lines and other equipment. Avoid tossing snow where equipment is located.

Signs you may have carbon monoxide poisoning include flu-like symptoms like headaches, nausea, and dizziness, as well as confusion, drowsiness, or loss of consciousness. If you have signs of CO poisoning, or if your alarm goes off, get everyone out of the house and call 911.

Deputy Fire Marshal O’Brien reminds Nova Scotians to ensure chimney and appliance vents are clear from snow as soon as possible. This will help keep your home safe from carbon monoxide (CO) build up. CO has no smell and is invisible.
