Division 8 students created felted moons and wrote an artist statement to represent what they’ve learned in Socials and Science. We were inspired by the book Taan’s Moon. @SD38Arts
"If you want others to try something new, just a reminder that “going first” in educational leadership is synonymous with “learning first.” The easiest way to help others embrace change is to let them watch you embrace it first."

Bienvenue à la Salle de jeux éphémère de Div 8 (3/4 EFI)! We spent 3 weeks creating our games using the design process. C’était tellement amusant! @MFirebirds@SD38Arts@RichmondSD38
Some of my past success is by breaking down goals into three parts; big, medium and small.
I start with the big goal I want to achieve, whether personal or professional, and then have things I want to achieve each week (medium) and day (small) that will help me get closer to that big goal. With each medium and small win, I feel more confident in the big goals that I'm pursuing.
Here's an example from when I was trying to lose weight:
Big goal - lose 120 pounds
Medium goal - lose 1-3 pounds a week
Small goals - certain amount of steps, pushups, and 45-60 grams of protein per meal (3 per day)
I eventually hit the big goal, but kept the small and medium targets which has helped me with my new big goal of the Disney marathon in January 2024.
Hope this helps someone out there! It definitely helped me.

How many teachers does it take to do a subtraction problem?
One, because it only takes one teacher to make a difference. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week.
