@EwanJMcGowan @edfringe Go and see at least one show you know nothing about. Swap shows with other companies - they see yours and vice versa. Drink a lot of sensible fluids, venues get very hot. Tell other people if you've seen and enjoyed their work. Sleep in random pockets of free time.

Throwing this into the ether before an extensive internet search. If I want to travel to some international festivals, are there funds or bursaries (outwith those festivals' own ones) I can apply for?
Because I can't afford to send myself 'cause I'ma theatre-maker. Y'know?

@ask_aubry Among the many wrong things here "unnatural lip gestures" just makes me think of Elvis. Which I am enjoying. The idea that this man is so sick of female Elvis impersonators that he actually wrote that down.

I know that's not what he meant but I like mine better than his.

I was just at a NASA team meeting for 3 days in DC. The scientific findings are so fucked up. Experts on tropical rainforests told me privately that they think the Amazon has already passed its tipping point. Let that sink in. The world needs to know

@f_osis Honestly, yes. Very much actor-applying-for-regular-human-job vibes. But also quite a lot of business-jargon-used-out-of-context-will-dazzle-these-dum-dums vibes. Extremely confident, script needed work. But hey, as they said "Feel the fear and do it anyway!"
