An Open Letter to Anyone With a Voice Big Enough to Matter
To those who can be heard when others cannot:

Please help save Sergeant Snuggles.

Snuggles is a young Anatolian Shepherd—a livestock guardian—who belongs to a veteran family in Pima County, Arizona. In October 2025, on his own property, he bit a family member during a moment of extreme stress: a female dog in heat, coyotes nearby, days of agitation, and a startle from behind. It was his first bite. The family member recovered. She has since said, in her own words, that he did not “attack” her, that he stopped when he recognized her, and that she wants him home.
A court still ordered him destroyed. Pima Animal Care Center has held him ever since. He has now spent nearly a year in a kennel. County medical records document repeated “shelter stress.” His family has posted bond, paid thousands in boarding fees, offered stronger fencing, professional behavior work, and even transfer to a qualified sanctuary. They have asked only that he not be killed while those options exist.
Mercy is not the same as pretending a bite never happened. It is choosing the least irreversible path when the person who was hurt is asking for his life, when the dog has no prior history, and when a working guardian breed did what that breed is wired to do under the wrong conditions. Death cannot be undone. A second chance, with conditions, can.
If you have a platform, use it. Share his name. Ask why a first-incident dog is still locked away nearly a year later while his family begs for a humane alternative. Ask Pima County officials to allow transfer to a sanctuary or return under strict safeguards instead of carrying out a death sentence the family and the injured relative oppose.
Snuggles cannot speak. The people who love him have nearly exhausted their money and their legal options. What they still have is the hope that someone with a louder voice will refuse to look away.

Please help bring Sergeant Snuggles home.

My @Walmart story

So yesterday I finally made it to the store to get groceries. Wandered around like I like to do and finally made my way to self checkout bc that's how I roll. Mind you, Walmart makes about $1500+ a month from my household. I know how to checkout.

So I got to the lettuce and it would not scan. Tried to look it up but 'romaine' found no hits. So I wave over the clearly liberal woman psychopath (I know her) and she is very irritated at me. Wants me to search again. Told her to just please handle it.

Naturally, moments later I came to the head lettuce and had the same problem with that scanning so I waved her over again. This time she was seething at my request.

So she tried to teach me once again how to handle it. I said just fix it so I can move on. She became enraged and said it's her job to teach ME how to do it. I told her that I didn't come to Walmart for a training session and I was not an employee. I said my mother died recently and I just want my groceries and to go home so if you would just fix it that would be great

Rather than use the POS system to plug in a few beep boop beep's and move along, she decided to pull out her phone and spend about 30 seconds searching for that information on her phone. When she found it she pointed it to me and demanded that I pick up the hand scanner and scan her phone.

Then she said "and by the way don't ever talk to me like that ever again"

So I retorted, no, don't you ever talk to me that way.

I completed my transaction but had to walk past customer service on my way out the door

There was nobody there but 2 employees so I walked in and asked who was in charge. I told her the story that I just told you.

As soon as I said the last line, her jaw dropped at what she had said to me and before I could finish she was out on the warpath which is exactly what I intended

I calmly got my groceries out and into my truck and drove home. I told my story to my husband and he knew exactly who I was talking about because he has trouble with her in the past and he goes a lot more frequently than I do.

I have news for you Walmart, I don't work for you. I don't need your employees training me anything. When I need your help I will summon you and you will help me with a smile and then you will walk away and get out of my space
