Pete Hegseth fired a Navy Vice Admiral to make her disappear, and yesterday the voters of South Carolina handed her a path to a seat in Congress. Her name is Nancy Lacore.
BREAKING: ARE YOU KIDDING!? Trump gets caught funneling your tax dollars into a pricey vanity project inside the White House — after promising to pay for it himself.
He keeps pulling this con and MAGA keeps falling for it...
According to a new report in The Atlantic, Trump replaced the paved walkway that connects the White House Residence to the Oval Office, swapping out Tennessee flagstone for incredibly expensive African granite that was carved in Italy. When he was asked in March who would shoulder the bill, Trump said "Paid for me."
As it turns out, he was lying through his dentures.
Budget documents from the National Park Service reviewed by The Atlantic reveal that the walkway project cost taxpayers $689,232 and is just one piece of a $1.3 million project that also included repairing stone and masonry and upgrading doors. Meanwhile, average Americans can barely afford groceries.
But it gets even worse....
Documents marked as a “rush project at request of POTUS" reveal that the Park Service also wasted $347,503 to "remove and replace the stucco on the colonnade wall" so that Trump could "affix gold frames and plaques mocking some of his predecessors." In other words, he took money out of our pockets and used it to make the White House uglier while slinging partisan mud.
Spending on projects in parks outside of the Washington, D.C. area have been slashed by a jaw-dropping $854 million, or 68%. Meanwhile, spending in the capital spiked by $100 million. As Trump's presidency collapses into failure, he's desperately trying to build a physical legacy for himself outside of his window.
Every single one of those dollars should have gone towards their intended purpose, which is maintaining and upgrading our beloved National Parks. But of course Trump doesn't care about our parks because they belong to everyone. It doesn't matter to him if American families are able to enjoy the natural splendor of our beautiful country like generations before have. All he cares about is slapping his tacky aesthetic on everything within reach.
"This previously undisclosed spending is part of an enormous shift of taxpayer cash away from national parks around the country and into the Washington area," writes Michael Scherer for The Atlantic. "In order to pay for the president’s projects, the parks have had to cancel needed repairs, slash their budgets, and operate with fewer employees."
Scherer adds that Park Service employees say that there's a "quiet crisis unfolding" as the Interior Department's budget shrinks and funds are moved away from the usual priorities.
Projects that got stiffed include a much-needed "$1.5 million roof-replacement project at the Yellowstone Center for Resources to halt pest invasions and water leaks, more than $3 million to continue operating the free-bus system in Acadia National Park, and a roughly $424,000 guardrail replacement on the cliff edge of Black Canyon in Colorado’s Gunnison National Park, a project needed to rectify a 'significant safety hazard for visitors.'"
This is what happens when you elect the very worst that America has to offer. Everything of value gets reduced to ash.

"Cancelled."
Donald Trump just cancelled signing a bill that's strongly supported by Republicans and Democrats to help Americans afford a home.
Rent, home ownership, affording a place to live, all of it is a big challenge for millions of Americans.
But again, Donald Trump doesn't care.
#BREAKING: Legendary #Maddow: “In Surprise Arizona…you’re going to think I’m making this up, but I’m not making this up. The people in Surprise, Arizona who are fighting the potential Trump prison camp they want to put there. Those folks are SO ANNOYED with their city council not helping them stop this thing, that those local residents are now advancing an effort to literally DISSOLVE THE CITY of Surprise, Arizona, to unincorporate the city specifically so there won’t be a city council anymore, so the city council won’t be in their way as they continue to fight the Trump prison camp and therefore they can fight this thing harder.” 😳😂
@MeyersChal29058@Forbes In what way? The Kennedy Center was created as a MEMORIAL for President Kennedy. Period. Trump had no business adding his name. The judge was in the right. Also, pertaining to the 2-year shutdown for renovations, the judge was in the right to put a stop to it. This is contempt.
More than a day after the Interior Department said that the water of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was "crystal clear," it appeared to be anything but. https://t.co/iaHHmUcJij
Watching Barack Obama greet the first 100 visitors to his Presidential Center, I felt an unexpected sense of grief. It reminded me how much I miss grace, dignity, and simple kindness in leadership. Whether you agreed with his politics or not, that standard of civility feels increasingly rare these days.

Do me a favor: RT this and check to make sure we're still following each other, as we'll get through this together.
Please and thank you! 🙏💪
Right now, there’s a senior deciding which bill they have to postpone because their insulin is $400 per month.
No more.
The Inflation Reduction Act caps insulin at $35 for seniors on Medicare – and I'm fighting like hell to get it done for every American.
Yesterday I was part of a group that peacefully protested the expansion of a coal mine in Germany. We were kettled by police and then detained but were let go later that evening.
Climate protection is not a crime.
