I may be a little obsessed, but my lilac tree bloom is so short-lived. This is the only cutting I’ll do. Not prone to lopping off blooms but this tiny bit perfumes so much.

Got back to MI & discovered my lilac tree is blooming. Wasn’t sure if I’d missed it, so I’m relieved/ecstatic I can sit in actual warm weather with this short-lived (bloom & scent) gift. Also, ferns are unfurling!

@fugitiveink I like to use the response, "oh, you have no idea," with varying tones/emphases and expressions. Covers a multitude of what I mean, what they may think, without nailing anything down. Must be followed by a quick exit, though. :)
