We set a challenge for our young people last night to paint for 2 minutes and then pass on the canvas to the next person and then they add to it, and then by the end we had these amazing art pieces!

At youth visual arts on Monday we thought we would like to become bakers!

We made some delicious tray bakes with the young people and look how good it looks!

For the past few weeks, We have been working alongside the Primary 7 from Dalmarnock with their transition into high school!.

we had many conversations about what to take with you to school and what our hopes and worries were for high school! 🌈🌈

Our P.7 students are prepping for high school through our Transition project, we're easing their fears, boosting confidence, and giving them a heads-up on what to expect.
We wrapped up with @DalmarnockPS by preparing our school bags and snapping pics for our time capsule. 📸

At photography, on Friday we created our own thumbnails as if we were YouTubers!🌈

The only rule was they had to include a photo of one of their team members. 🥳

The sun was shining for our first session of the P7 Transition block @DalmarnockPS ☀️

Of course we started off with some positive words for our friends and found out how they would like this programme shaped! 🫶🏻

We transformed the playground into vibrant canvases with our chalk murals.🌈
we used chalk and made up some chalk paint to allow us to create more detailed art! ☺️

🎨 Youth Visual Arts 🌟

Instead of sticking to one canvas, we mixed things up!

We rotated canvases every 10 minutes, creating four amazing art pieces that everyone had a chance to work on 🖌️

We even painted portraits of each other! 👩‍🎨

Last Friday to end off spring break with the youth create team, we went on a wee wander around town to find some murals on the mural trail!

Our young people Friday received their arts awards for taking part in theatre, photography, and art!
after all the hard work over the past few months, it was only right to give them an arts award !

On Tuesday night we took 10 young people to the theatre to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for our first session of youth theatre.

we had the best night together and absolutely love the world of Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory.

On our first session back we got to know the kids
we created inside and outside of me.
the kids drew themself on one side and then drew what people might not see on the inside.

At junior theatre we made some puppets!
