i) wrong, this deliberately takes the concept of shreds from Solana and then compares them to the concept of blocktimes instead. if you compared them to shreds, then solana is 30-50ms faster. in fact, I did this test this week

importantly, it is faster while not being a centralized server

ii) even if you compared them to finality for example, solana with alpenglow will have finalization with a global validator set in 100ms, which is 2x faster than a centralized multisig

read that again ^. Solana will reach finality with thousands of nodes and censorship resistance TWO times faster than a centralized server

jito's BAM provides all the same benefits as what luke says but actually on the L1 and in a permissionless way where one giant corp doesn't fully control the sequencer, which is no different than tradfi

i) that's not even close to the actual number, just made up

ii) the actual number has been steadily declining over time as engineers all over the ecosystem are solving the hard problems instead of giving up on all blockchain ideals and saying let's just use centralized servers instead — ppl are literally iterating on market structure with prop AMMs and giving better spreads than 0.5bps

that said I agree that solana technically has the highest amount of retail "extraction", since it does have the most retail and activity. and just like every other time, we will solve the hard problems and make the experience better than all others
