@SPVM You have a lot of work to do to actually help victims of domestic violence. Calling a survivor a ‘liar’ by a Sargent no less is unacceptable. Full stop.
@AVaillancourtPM@Val_Plante@SPVM I have to disrupt this one. Kindness and understanding are not the words one could use to describe how this police force interacts with victims of domestic violence.
@daviddewolfe@Chagg164 Your ignorance is showing. Glad you got called out by an accomplished lawyer. The last thing I would do or encourage anyone else to do is listen to your ‘tunes’ - the lyrics must be a miserable nightmare.
@SPVM@Val_Plante@_DPCP The SPVM are ill equipped to deal with the complexities of these incidents. Using a mechanism to attempt to interfere with this is not the answer. They lack any form of compassion or understanding to deal with the aftermath for all youth involved; I have seen it happen.
@francoislegault@EricGirardMFQ Legault’s support for hiking tuition fees is receiving negative press throughout all national news outlets - well deserved for such a short-sighted decision - poor leadership.
@Guillau45135822@ChanvrineBackup@francoislegault Not the case - same costs as all Ontario universities- your facts are wrong. No other province does this - there will be pushback and definitely a a sharp decline in enrolment- it will backfire.
@francoislegault Daughter - Graduate of McGill - now at University of Edinburgh- turned down McGill - glad she did now - son - one more year at McGill - we will have him finish at the University of Toronto. McGill’s international reputation will continue to fall with this foolish decision.
@ToulasTake Daughter - graduated from McGill - chose University of Edinburgh over McGill for her MA - relieved she did now - son - in third year at McGill - I will encourage him to transfer to U of T - a great university that ranks higher anyways. Sad to see such exclusion - we won’t pay -
@TedRutland This service throws around the term ‘community engagement’ but ignores partnering with those who have more experience and knowledge with marginalized communities. The imbalance in salaries between community workers and police officers is appalling - if you compared credentials.
@CityNewsMTL Glad this individual spoke up - ‘it’s hard to have a grasp on every community….’ Terrible response. It’s a responsibility and expectation - to keep everyone safe.
@Val_Plante It’s the response that matters, and in the public sector employees in Montreal ignore it. It will keep happening, until they actually care to change it, which doesn’t look promising.
