I’ve been wanting to attend the International Conference on Sarcopenia Cachexia & Wasting Disorders for many years so I’m excited to have had the opportunity to present some of my PhD work on sarcopenia in oesophagogastric cancer surgery #SCWD23 🇸🇪

Twice in one day! Work from @LSChapple being discussed by @Zudin_P in the ‘New concepts in preventing muscle wasting in critically ill patients’ session at #SCWD23 Many of these concepts could be applied to cancer cachexia
Moving beyond tumour staging …. @laird_barry highlighting the importance of staging the host & treating the host via a multimodal intervention for cancer cachexia #SCWD23
Day 1 of #SCWD23 …. in the opening keynote lecture by Maurizio Muscaritoli we see research from Melbourne presented! @NicoleKKiss & team showing the negative impact of sarcopenia on survival in patients with cancer.
@SCWDnews Looking forward to hearing more about this in a few days. Sunny Stockholm is certainly turning on the good weather for those visiting #SCWD2023 ☀️
