Reading the excellent Women Vs Hollywood by @HelenLOHara this stood out … it’s a mindset I recognise; what’s changed is we know now there is space - that there has to be space made for rooms full of women - and being part of @The_Writers_Lab UK & Ireland brings that home.
7-year-old is dancing about singing that she’s going to be a teenager in the 30s … which makes me realise that the 2030s are A LOT closer than the 1990s when I was a teenager 😳

Whereas they probably didn’t lack that ability - they just lacked 17 years of hindsight … though in this case it’s really not 20/20 about the subject in question.
I just had to turn off a usually enjoyable podcast because the guest host threw out in that (flippant but also, trying to be deep) way that in 2005 it was almost like people “lacked the mental ability to understand events in context” 🤦🏻♀️
Watching the #StrictlyComeDancing Final and I just it’s really beautiful how John and Johannes speak to each other - so great to see two men expressing the depth of their emotion and friendship so openly.
