Big correction! It wasn’t state FUNDING. It was a licensing bill. Rep. Her was chief author. Passed with bipartisan support. She’s used services for her eldest daughter before, and it’s a personal issue for her and other families too…
State Rep. Kaohly Her says state funding for Children’s Minnesota 22 new inpatient mental health beds was one of the few things the Legislature actually got done last year. This is personal to her, and needs to be a start. State needs to step up on kids’ mental health.
Sue Abderholden, NAMI Minnesota, says parents are typically allowed to spend the night with kids hospitalized for a health crisis — except when it’s a mental health crisis. This will be different. Parents can spend the night here.
There’s 22 new inpatient children’s mental health beds, each individual patient rooms with space for parents or guardians to stay overnight. Care will begin with adolescents, with the goal of hospitalizing kids by the end of the year — ultimately, kids as young as 6.
“…inpatient unit will be the first in the east metro to serve kids as young as 6… and one of few in the state to admit kids with more complex medical conditions. It is also one of few such facilities (anywhere) to allow a parent or guardian to stay overnight with their child…”
Cards Against Humanity is donating 100% of their profits to the National Network of Abortion Funds if the order comes from a state restricting abortion access.
If someone selects “I didn’t agree to this” an additional $5 donation is added to their cart. 😂
With the Chief Justice ordering investigations like Alito opinion leak, might he investigate what Thomas knew and when he knew it about spouse’s insurrection work?

Biden isn’t just forgiving a set amount of debt. He is also enacting a new policy that ends excess interest on student loans—as long as a borrower pays their minimum monthly payment (now capped at only 5% of their income), their balance will no longer increase.
This is huge.
A sitting Republican congressmen, @mattgaetz, decided that body shaming a teenager was okay.
So to spite him I raised $1 million in donations to abortion funds in under 72 hours.
Abortion is healthcare. Period.

Just making sure I understand— Republicans are so angry that Democrats are going to pass a bill fighting high healthcare costs and inflation (which they wail about daily)… that they’re retaliating by blocking a bill expanding funding to US veterans exposed to toxic burn pits?
Why did the same party that gets mad when people kneel during the anthem because it “disrespects the troops” just block health care for veterans with cancer?
