@JohnPassant radical thinking I know, but I am hoping that eventually elected representatives will actually represent their community through consultation and surveys. In time, changes could be made that require independents to vote according to the wishes of the electorate?!

@JohnPassant Hi, I enjoyed reading your post on The Murray-Darling: Death by Capitalism. I'm thinking a revolution might start with no political parties, but elect only independents, which will force the system to change. Any other ideas?
