Surrendering control to God doesn’t come through a checklist or 5-step process. Allowing yourself to depend on God is a byproduct of knowing and being in a relationship with him. Still, here are some truths for us to remember that will help us trust Him. https://t.co/tWB7nmNCDz
Worry has bound me up more times than it has ever bailed me out. It brings about depletion rather than salvation. This year I want to live for God in the fullness of the freedom he purchased for me. https://t.co/uFVYGOrmUe
Criticism can leave us discouraged and wounded. Here's the story of how God taught me to walk through the valley of discouragement with Him and into freedom (instead of trying to avoid the valley, which never works anyway :)) https://t.co/oZkxZhMFZy
Discerning the voice of God can be a challenge. How do we know when the Holy Spirit is speaking to us? This one simple question can help. https://t.co/yAND1JMYRv
The path to biblical peace isn’t about formula it’s about following. @annswindell's newest book, #thepathtopeacebook, uses stories (both her own and those of biblical characters) to point us to Jesus as we each travel our own one-of-a-kind path. https://t.co/rAXJFx8z8N
We've heard or read that journaling is a positive habit worth adopting, and still, something stops us from picking up the pen or popping open a blank document on the computer. Why is it so hard to do something we want to do? Here are 5 reasons. #journal https://t.co/p10r6CmS90
"Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay. But look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in." -C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

Hannah’s honest, desperate prayer in 1 Samuel models how we can turn to the God of peace in the midst of feeling overwhelmed. @annswindell https://t.co/UrEnLcIgyF
"Do not imagine that if you meet a really humble man he will be what most people call 'humble' nowadays... Probably all you will think about him is that he seemed a cheerful, intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said to him." -C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
4 ways I'm learning to battle forgetfulness about God's faithfulness:
1. Record prayers and the way God answers them.
2. Call to mind scenarios when God has proven Himself faithful in the past.
3. Remember the gospel.
4. Meditate on Scripture about His faithfulness.
Jesus,
Thank you for washing away our sins and the shame that comes with them. When we fail, draw us to you in repentance. Remind us that our failures do not disqualify us from being in your presence because we've already been qualified through your death and resurrection.
Amen.
