Turns out this long haired, overall wearing guy was in my US Army unit in Germany. He was actually one of our buddies and I had even made him and the Southern contingent a Thanksgiving dinner once!

@inqdragon2 . . . position for recovery work as soon as the winds died down enough. So in 2004, that involved driving to FL through Bonnie to be in place for Charlie. Our office was a Winnebago. It was rocking. We had to fill it up with linemen to keep it from turning over.

I had a lifetime of dealing with men. All brothers in childhood, Army, and construction work.
But I would likely not do again.

@FreddyLA7 The opening of this.national park is why my dad's hometown doesn't exist any more.
His whole family still lives in the area (Brownsville, Sweeden, Kyrock). Isolated and behind the times.
Love driving up and seeing the "sinks" in the area fields.
