In recognition of @MarkHughesFdn crucial role in my Mum's brain cancer treatment & their support for my family over the 14 months of her fight, I'm undertaking a 6-day trek through the Flinders Ranges to raise funds & celebrate her strength and resilience. https://t.co/xcD41tAUmH
Teacher: I feel so exhausted all the time.
Central Office: Have you tried yoga or running or meditation.
Let’s stop telling teachers to do yoga and meditate (UNLESS that’s what they want and choose to do).
Instead, let’s advocate for making teaching a sustainable career!
If you have ovaries, hello half of Australia, then the chances are you will experience some symptoms of Menopause but probably won’t ever talk about.
But Lisa Curry, Kathy Lette and Jessica Rowe want to change that, so let's talk about Menopause.
Today we had the pleasure of hosting the @ACTEducation Aspiring Senior Leadership Program. After a beautiful walk on Ngunnawal Country with our Staff and First Nations’ Rangers, the focus was ‘Country as Teacher: Thinking differently about cultural Integrity’ with Dr Benny Wilson
No female politician, no indigenous politician could survive a video like this. That’s what white male privilege gets you - indulgence for your mistakes.
I haven’t been able to participate in the Relay for Life since 2019 but this year I’ve created a team to walk in Mum’s honour! Let me know if you’d like to join my team ‘Christine’s Crew’ or I’d really appreciate your support through donations! Thanks in advance 💜
My Mum Christine passed away at the age of 65 in 2017 from a Grade 4 Glioblastoma Brain Tumor. We miss her so much and that’s why this event is so important, so we can help find a cure! https://t.co/6F0Fet6TyX
Just had a huge few days at @BirrigaiEdu running our ‘First Nations Truth Telling Program - Beyond Fear, Denial, Guilt or Blame’ with staff from two @ACTEducation Primary Schools. Such an emotional experience but a privilege and honour to be part of this innovative program …
Whose lands will you be holidaying on? Learn some of the stories of those places, its peoples and history. Rejuvenate mind and body by slowing down, noticing and connecting deeply to Country. 💚♥️💛🖤💚
From all the Birrigai Team we wish everyone a restful break. Thank you for helping us deliver another great year of rich outdoor learning experiences for students and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2024. @ACTEducation …
Today we had some special guests come all the way from the Sea to the Mountains! Most of the students and staff from Jervis Bay Primary School are spending the next three days learning and playing on Ngunnawal Country and Joel Bulger welcomed them with a Smoking Ceremony. 🖤💛❤️
Birrigai was proud to host the @AEUACT New Educators Conference on Saturday. Delegates enjoyed a walk on Country looking at ways to build cultural integrity into their classrooms, followed by fireside drinks & a spectacular dinner prepared by our amazing chefs. @ACTEducation
The 2023 award for Excellence in Cultural Integrity Practice goes to the Birrigai First Nations Team from Birrigai Outdoor School 🏆
Congratulations!

There are so many people who have travelled the path with us to develop our First Nations Truth Telling Program. We are incredibly proud to win the 2023 @ACTEducation Award for Excellence in Cultural Integrity on behalf of them & thanks also to Grant Sarra for mentoring us ❤️🖤💛
Such an incredible honour to be part of this phenomenal First Nations Program at @BirrigaiEdu! A Celebration of Culture, hard Truth-Telling and Reconciliation all in one day is opening eyes, educating and giving us hope for the future 🖤💛❤️ https://t.co/iZVH0o6uTh
Asked what he’ll now do for indigenous Australians Peter Dutton said that between now and the next election he’ll take advice from Jacinta Price and then formulate policies. One voice. One. Do you get the irony?
