For citizens who have been evacuated or are sheltering in place due to the gas leak and have special needs you can call the Emergency Operations Center at 253.864.4170 for assistance. No ETA on the return of power as the gas leak has still not been contained.
THANK YOU to the Puyallup Tribe of Indians for its $2,000 charity trust fund grant. The funds will help to reduce the cost of uncompensated services, such as securing housing, transportation, job supplies/training, financial/legal paperwork and more.

The COVID-19 outbreak is evolving quickly. We are not waiting to take the measures needed to contain it.
Today, I am expanding my school closure order to all K-12 schools statewide. They will close by Tuesday, March 17 and will remain closed through at least Friday, April 24.
@joyem_braun @soulmaat8 Thanks for asking! The students learned a lot about protocol from Puyallup Water Warriors before the march. Dakota led off the march with good words and a song and we were honored to have Greg of Protectors of the Salish Sea join us at the end. 🙏
