If we refuse to watch Men’s Final at RG, the least we can do is act like he doesn’t exist.
Mute his name, don’t repost Final content, don’t get into arguments, don’t give it attention.
I know it doesn’t change much but we also can’t be yelling ourselves hoarse abt it either.
@DanWatchesCyc thank goodness🙏recently anytime I’ve seen visma in a wielerflits headline my heart rate has increased tenfold from panic, so it’s nice to see some good news again
@grussellist 1) the racing is pretty entertaining, and wins are for the most part spread across a few teams
2) the best riders are probably vollering (GC/climber), wiebes (sprint), vos (puncheur/sprint) and pfp (GC/climber), but loads of other riders win too
3) the Giro is on right now
@Leeuw_jdl@lucxsronald where could he go though? There are next to no other teams that have a decent enough budget/sprint train that would guarantee him a ride at the tour
@CyclingWerewolf@FanbrizioNews@espn@BenjiNaesen@dnlbenson@InsideOut2912 no one outside of cycling really knows who he (or any other cyclist in this era) is unfortunately🤷♀️the sport is still too niche, and the only 'household names' are those that get busted for doping (e.g. Armstrong)
lowk expected because no sane driver would do this if their passion was winning. his passion, at least now, has probably shifted to maintaining his lifestyle. 8 years and nothing to show for it, they’ve stoned vettel for less
@Tratnikstan I doubt trine would allow him to divorce her anyway, but let’s say it did happen, then yeah, he’d just have to put a bit of a ‘single dad’ spin on it
@Selma215_ but yeah everyone he works with says he’s quiet, I don’t think he’s like super shy because he’s pretty good at speaking to people, but maybe he just prefers to mind his business or is just more of a 'serious' type
@Selma215_ yeah the only merch they did was for his Giro wins I think, and apart from appearing briefly in the Tour of Holland doc (which was more focused on Christophe anyway) he only appeared in the one giro documentary
