Early Sketch Concept for the Lightspeed Jackets.
This version of the government-issued jackets skewed closer to the lightweight nature of GoGo V’s fluorescent orange windbreakers, coloring these would-be adapted Ranger versions teal and cinching them at the waist to give them more shape. The evolution of the Lightspeed jackets moved toward utilitarian from this point on, layering complexity and functionality into the design — but this sketch is a fun look back at a “what if!”

“Cutest Cast on TV: Power Rangers” — The Cast of Lost Galaxy for Popstar! Magazine.
@PowerRangers was pulling out all the stops to promote its brand new season — the first of the Post-Zordon Era. Lost Galaxy would be Power Rangers Season 7, and this spread was certainly geared toward a slightly aged up audience; appealing to the teenyboppers of PR’s final season of the ‘90s, whether they were a new audience via this magazine or an attempt to regain the focus of fans who may have fallen off when they were younger.
The six leads were photographed exclusively for the magazine by Keith Munyan with accompanying bio bites of individual trivia: @cerinavincent [Maya] is a former Miss Nevada Teen Pageant winner; Valerie Vernon [Kendrix] was a globe-trotting cruise ship performer; Danny Slavin [Leo] trained in the Korean martial art of Kuk Sool Won; @ArchieKao [Kai] only took up acting right before getting his gig on Rangers; @Reggie_Rolle [Damon] was a well-known member of a dance troupe in Minneapolis; and Russell Lawrence [Mike] loves to write poetry!

Early Concept + Costume Draft for Operation Overdrive’s Mercury Ranger / Bouken Silver.
This in-progress alternate design features a white vertical stripe through the costume that’s consistent with the core team, while the final design would change that stripe [and the costume’s wimple] to black. These materials were shared at a point in Operation Overdrive’s Pre-Production when Bouken Silver’s designs were not yet finalized.
Pardon the quality, as the scans are hi-res but captured from a very small print-out.

The #PowerRangersPreservationProject Presents Operation Overdrive Screen Tests: The Rangers!
In addition to capturing each of the series regular cast on camera individually, the core five Rangers also shot indoor tests on the Hartford Mansion set together in both their civilian styling and mission uniforms. For the purposes of this chemistry test, they only shot the mission uniforms in their commonly seen standard mode with full jacket sleeves only, and did not test them together in their short-sleeved variants.
The group action posing in their Overdrive Mission Uniforms demonstrates the unique styling per uniform, with each color’s uniform featuring individualized design elements while still maintaining the base uniform look across the team.
Featuring @RhodaMontemayor as Rose [Pink], Gareth Yuen as Dax [Blue], James Maclurcan as Mack [Red], Caitlin Murphy as Ronnie [Yellow], and Samuell Benta as Will [Black].

Work began on a new series of Ranger Dolls for Power Rangers Zeo featuring at least Kat, Tanya and Tommy. However, those toys never made it beyond the prototype stage.
Presumably, “Power Rangers for Girls” hadn’t performed well enough for Bandai to continue the line. (6/7)
I’ve talked before about how Jetman’s Jet Striker was later repurposed into the Galactic Rover for Power Rangers in Space and how the AutoMorphins were based on Ninjaman from Kakuranger.
But I’ve never talked about the girls’ dolls…
So let’s get into that — before someone pastes this thread into AI, rewords it with zero effort, and reposts it on Facebook and YouTube! (1/7)
Unedited Robo Knight Harness Poses from the Megaforce Promo Shoot.
These photos captured the suited Megaforce @PowerRangers in a variety of action and power poses, which would be leveraged for different promotional materials such as posters, ads, and DVD covers.
Robo Knight was one of his mentor Gosei’s earliest creations: a Robo Ranger with artificial consciousness with the sole mission to protect the Earth. With most of his time spent dormant compared to other sentient robots like Alpha 5 or Tensou, Robo Knight did not develop social skills on the level of his peers — presenting much more robotic in nature.
Robo Knight’s exposure to the Megaforce Team allowed him to become more human in a sense; making his ultimate sacrifice all the more heartbreaking when he gave up his life force to save Orion — his spirit forever living on through the Andresian.
Flash ⚡️ Fact: Robo Knight was voiced by Chris Auer — 1st Assistant Director on MMPR Productions 2nd Unit from MMPR thru Wild Force. Chris returned to New Zealand as 2nd Unit’s AD for Megaforce and Super Megaforce, loaning his voice to Robo Knight in the process.

A Copy of SPD Executive Producer @gregaronowitz’s Annotated Script from Endings Part I — the first half of the two-part series finale — reveals original monster names for Broodwing’s Generals!
Their names were never spoken aloud, and only one was formally named in the end credits as “Crabhead” — though somehow, inaccurate information [perhaps fan-given names?] has infiltrated most Ranger Fan databases, dubbing “Monster #1” as “Spiketor” and “Monster #2” as “Lazor.” These script pages reveal that not only were all three generals named; but none of those original names made it past the scripting stage!
The monster dubbed “Crabhead” was originally CRABBOR — both versions appear in the pages here. Monster #1 / “Spiketor” was named MACE, and Monster #2 / “Lazor” was named STINGA.
