The world was better off, with his presence. Man of diplomatic flexibility. Deacidifier. Softener that could sit in between the craziest. The man whose opinions are valued even by the most insane dictator. Rest in eternal peace. #ShinzoAbe#安倍さんありがとう#StandWithUkraine
@ArturGalata My husband, who lived in Japan for 25 years, thinks the same. It’s whether you’ve followed and respected the rules and manners, and behaved like everyone else. And he’s never felt discriminated.
And btw he’s from one of the Baltic states 😄
@ok6ixx I know how you feel. It sucks when it’s time to go back to reality.
But you know what - take that respect, politeness, and quiet discipline with you, spread them, and make them contagious. Let’s brainwash yourself and think “If Japan can do it, why can’t we?”
@GregAtkinson_jp There’s nothing for skilled foreigners who pay their taxes and live as good neighbors in Japan to worry about.
My European husband, who was given an opportunity to study here on a gov’t grant, now pays his taxes (at 55%), donates, and contributes to his community.
@GregAtkinson_jp My European husband (who has lived in Japan for twenty years, has his Japanese kids and his PR status) says the same - Japan is for the Japanese. It’s funny and interesting at the same time that some foreigners are more patriotic & protective of Japan than Japanese.
