Any time a character approached freedom or answers the writers were fast to lock them in a safe cage of ambiguity and inconsequence. The compelling hook is easily written; consistent resolution is hard, and Lost failed there

@cmuratori IMO Denis's direction enhanced the Blade Runner story while the same techniques detracted from Dune. Seeing sweeping solar farms in BR serves as worldbuilding; I can see that future. Seeing windows of a desert city in Dune gives me no context for how people survive on the planet

@tsrandall Hey Tom, the EV credit should not be this high. It's just a shelter for the rich. I bought a 2018 Model 3 when the tax credit was $7500 & got less than half of that total because my 2018 tax liability wasn't high enough. Meaning I paid more for my car because I didn't make enough
