Israel 🇮🇱 & Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 Western hypocrisy

⭕️This is an accurate take by Sam Harris on the "usage of human shields" in war. Israel 🇮🇱 shows no regard for civilians in the Gaza Strip or in Palestine 🇵🇸 during their assaults; there are many reasons for that. However, this is the rationale employed by Western media and governments to justify civilian casualties in these conflicts.

⭕️ In retaliation for the dozens of Israeli civilians killed in the Hamas attack, Israel will eliminate hundreds of Hamas fighters in the coming weeks and months. Thousands of civilians will become casualties, and millions of Palestinians will be harassed and suffer.

⭕️Yet, the narrative from the West will ultimately blame Hamas for the onslaught, accusing them of using civilians as human shields. The term genocide will never be mentioned, even though the state of Israel has been involved in a systematic purge of Arabs in neighboring countries for the past decades, contributing significantly to this attack.

⭕️Reflecting on the final phase of the civil war in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 back in 2009, the LTTE extensively used human shields, especially during the closing days of the war. They launched attacks from within the no-fire zone, even killing civilians attempting to flee, to maintain their human shield strategy.

⭕️Despite these challenges, the Sri Lankan government and army made commendable efforts to get as many civilians as they could out of the conflict zones by setting up refugee camps and actively engaging in Tamil civilian rescue operations.

⭕️ Yet, to this day, the Sri Lankan army is still accused of a genocide by Western nations and the media, with no one daring to attribute any fault to the LTTE, Even though at the time, the FBI had recognized the LTTE as one of the most dangerous terrorist organization in the world even deadlier than al Qaeda, Hezbollah or even HAMAS.

⭕️ The LTTE brought no benefits to the Tamils, and Hamas will bring no good to Arab Muslims. Terrorism will never foster a peaceful resolution to any conflict. War in the 21st century being a lucrative industry, serves as a platform for world powers to showcase their strength. Terrorists merely play roles in larger schemes orchestrated by others, all at the cost of innocent civilian lives.
