We gather to worship our living God - Father, Son, & Spirit. We dive into God's Word, & sing songs to God & about God, & fellowship in community together.
He would have God obey him and his expectations and boundaries… but not vice-versa.

How do you do, when you cannot see God’s plans and designs in your life, and all around you? Many – maybe even most – of us don’t handle that very well. 1/x
Jonah sure didn’t. He couldn’t grasp the concept that God’s love and grace didn’t have the borders, boundaries, and limits that he expected… and wanted. And he would have rather died in his lack of understanding than trust and obey God.
2nd Thessalonians?⁉️WAIT. WHAT⁉️
Hadn’t Paul (or rather God through Paul) resolved all of the issues for the church there, such that the rest of their lives would be marked by tyrant-less peace in a heaven-on-earth, conflict-less utopia?
In short? Uh… No.

Jeremiah didn't live a delightful life or calling. No one takes a time machine to go back and be Jeremiah. Still: Jeremiah found, ate, & even delighted in God's words - in part, because of Whose words they were…
