As Disability Pride Month comes to a close, we proudly honor the incredible achievements of people with disabilities. Itβs encouraging to see companies like Home Depot leading the way by transforming their hiring processes to support those with developmental disabilities!
With tailored training and support, theyβre creating workplaces that are more accessible and welcoming. These efforts set a powerful example for all companies to embrace diversity and foster inclusion.

It is great to see an increase in medical staff prepared to deal with the projected increase in the number of adults with IDD aged 60 and up. Nationally, the number of adults with IDD aged 60 and older is projected to double from 641,860 in 2000 to 1.2 million people by 2030.
A new effort is underway to dramatically expand training on intellectual and developmental #disabilities at the nation's medical schools. https://t.co/dwZR7m3lxR
