The #RoeDeer rut (mating season) occurs earlier than other larger #deer species & runs around mid-July to mid-August. Does (females) delay implantation to avoid young being born during winter & will give birth from late April to June.

A walk close to @LittleCottagenF today from Boundway in Tiptoe: the local 'lonely oak' is enjoying spring; a panorama - a brilliant yellow gorse year; the Avon Water level is remarkably low at the moment; and the highland cows were in the area.
