We are absolutely devastated by the very sudden & unexpected death of our cat Robin.
We had a great eight years with her, but we wanted so many more. The last few days have been rough without her.
We love you so much.
The hard part about writing about music history is when your brain is full of music trivia, it's easy to assume certain things are common knowledge and therefore not worth writing about
Charlie saw me watching a trailer for a horror movie the other day and said, "I don't want you to see scary movies because I don't want you to have scary dreams," and thus I remain the only horror fan in this house
I understand why fans were frustrated with the cliffhanger ending of "Last Day on Earth," but damn it if it wasn't a solid season finale #TheWalkingDead
I'm not sure if I'm more aware of it because this isn't my first or if things changed since I had Charlie, but the targeted ads & pregnancy content I'm getting really feel like they're preying on paranoia. The number of ads I'm getting for fetal dopplers alone is wild.
When using an apostrophe to indicate a decade, it goes in front to replace the missing digits: the class of ’26, which means the same as the class of 2026.
There's no apostrophe before the s in a construction like the '20s.
I get why news articles are simplifying Trump's bullshit fund as $1.8 billion, but the fact that it's actually $1.776 should not be overlooked. That was a very clear choice.
I never understood parents crying when their kids finish kindergarten, but between starting the school year thinking he'd need to repeat and currently being pregnant, I am going to be an absolute embarrassment
The thing with local elections is although I'm relieved to see certain Republican candidates lost their primaries, it makes me wonder if the winning candidates are actually worse, especially considering chances are high they'll win in the general
I'll tell ya what I really do not miss about my previous writing gig: the absurd and tedious task of bolding key phrases and terms
(I always felt like it made the page look busy, on top of treating readers like they're stupid and need guided through the piece.)
Some people are really overthinking it, and someone in a Facebook group I'm in nailed it when they said baby showers and starting to become as involved, detailed, big, and expensive as weddings
I get why people put so much thought into baby showers and worry about what they're "supposed to" do, but I desperately just want to tell every expectant parent planning one that you don't need a theme, it can be co-ed if you want, and you can serve whatever food you want
I haven't talked about it a ton, but I have been open about the fact that I had a miscarriage in early June 2024. I never truly "enjoyed" any of pregnancies, but it's been especially tough this time--I've had near-constant anxiety, and only recently has it let up.
We're excited to share that we're expecting our second child, a baby girl, this September! We're thrilled to be expanding our family, and we cannot wait to meet her.
