As someone who works in a DV Shelter, I've always viewed abstraction in TADC less as death and more as psychological collapse.
When people experience prolonged stress, trauma, isolation, or hopelessness, they can lose their sense of self. Abstraction feels like a metaphor for reaching a point where the mind can no longer sustain the pain it's carrying.
What stands out to me is Pomni's empathy. In trauma-informed practice, connection is often a protective factor. Pomni doesn't necessarily solve anyone's problems, but she consistently tries to understand others and see the person beneath their behavior.
Sometimes empathy isn't about fixing someone. It's about helping them feel seen before they reach their breaking point, and continue to even afterwards.

SHE WAS!!!!!!
HER ENTIRE STORY IS LITERALLY A CAUTIONARY TALE OF AN IRONY-POISONED CRUEL SELF-HATING REPPER WHO PUSHES ALL HER FRIENDS AWAY OVER AND OVER AND KILLS HERSELF!!! AND HOW THATS STUPID AND TRAGIC AND YOU SHOULD NOT DO THAT!!!!!!!!!!!
TADC making the most Tumblr sexyman bait character of all time, then at the very end revealing she was a trans woman with intense internalized (trans)misogyny all along, is so perfectly designed to piss the maximum amount of people off I have no choice but to respect it.
I'm low-key obsessed with this scene, how open interpretation to it is. Jax swooping in in the wake of Zooble's death and claiming everything they had over him: their freedom of gender expression, their loving girlfriend, even their little victory over him via the maid dress.
#TADC spoilers, sort of //
REALLY love how this throwaway line in episode 7 ends up contextualizing Jax's entire beef with Zooble as being based on envy
watching TADC for the first time after knowing the spoilers is very funny. I like how in the first episode Jax says "ladies first," then shoves Gangle out of the way in order to go first.
JAX IS A TRANS WOMAN!! It is literally canon and confirmed she is trans, and if you can’t accept that, that’s straight up transphobic. She is a beautiful woman and everyone should accept that
