Sorry alls I was saying yesterday was. I play in a sport that also hosts it's own awards night aswell as needs government funding. There is also a small relatively acceptable fee on the gate. If I ever let anyone pay for my teams award night like fans I'd debate calling it a day

@joannej1970 @Hoopss Sub minimum wage legislation probably makes people who get the service feel guilty. Instead of just giving them a wage to live off it comes from the customers pockets. It's wild

@joannej1970 @Hoopss I get it but it's not even minimum wage they're being paid and I guess it's more just a cultural thing but I know it's taken less as a necessity and more as a token of thank you. If you tip 15-20% it compensates for things like delivery. It's a common practice I assume in USA

@joannej1970 @Hoopss It's an American receipt. It's called a "tip wage" or a "tip credit" wage basically waiters and waitresses any service worker in this realm legally gets paid under $5USD P/H so they make their wage mostly from tips. In most establishments in this country tips get split.
