Little Monkeys Cramond House started off the Christmas season with a show-stopping nativity this morning in the beautiful Cramond Kirk. Well done to our Pre-school children you were magnificent!

Little Monkeys Craiglockhart have been enjoying the cultural backdrop of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery this week; drawing inspiration for self portraits which are an extension of their all about me project. We have really enjoyed these outings.

Some of our team took part in outdoor learning training at Cramond with Earth Calling this morning and had a great time learning about foraging for safe foods in our local area.

The weather stayed dry and there was even an opportunity to play in the park and have a picnic before the journey back to nursery.

They loved looking at the cows and pigs, and since returning we have had lots of very enthusiastic renditions of 'Old McDonald had a farm!'

Finally our conservatory is where the artistic play takes place; with painting, sand play and playdough being some of our daily activities.

The main room is a cosy play space with low level surfaces to encourage early movement

The sensory room is a space for discovery of the different senses with natural materials, scarves and lights that engage the imagination.

Kilmaurs have created such a fantastic learning environment for their children we thought it would be a shame not to share it!

Little Monkeys are undertaking exciting garden renovations. Today we introduced compost bins, logs, tyre's and a variety of guttering!
