I feel sorry the creator who spent years of their lives making something so special be slendered by such a bunch of brats.
Because of you, the likelyhood of something like this happening in theater again is unlikely to happen again without feeling resistance with the industry.
Movie etiquette is dead.
I thought it was only my personal experience but I've seen many having the same issue I did at the theater when I went to watch a certain movie and I have to speak up because this genuinely breaks my heart.
I am disappointed. I am angry. I am mortified. Has our world been spoiled by convinience ? I do think so. I feel sorry. Sorry that such a beautiful movie who's shaken me to my core, has been spoiled in more ways then another.
And that's precisely what it was. Children who cannot behave. Where is the respect gone to ? This is a public place. This is a place were you come in to WATCH movies. To enjoy a quiet moment with only you and the screen.
Some annoyed shouts for everyone to shut up. People leave the room to get their ticket refunded. An employee comes in and screams that if people don't shut up they'll just cancel the screening all together like scolding some kids who cannot behave.
Then there's a song, and Everyone in the audience sings along which would have been a sweet moment if not for the countless phones flashlight turned on waving around and burning your retinas like it's some sort of concert.
Then the movie starts. The text about being silent and turning your phone off pop up. And then something happen. Everyone kids/teenagers in the audience starts BOOING and they keep talking.
Before the movie started everyone was loud and I get it, they're excited, they're happy to see one of their favorite content on screen. Some of them are screaming their lungs out but you put up with it, it's fine.
A pathway to make this happen more often and support small groups that aren't supported by the money hungry hollywood. I was expecting excitement, but not at the level it went.
Imagine paying for a movie ticket. A movie that would have likely never been appearing to the cinema if not for the support of so many people in the independent industry. An occasion of a life time.
