Year 3 recently had the opportunity to go to Lea Valley Farm. The children have been reading Charlotte's Web and were able to get up close to the animals - even feeding the pigs and goats!
On Thursday 2nd June, year 6 visited Harlow Town Park for one last team picnic, to celebrate the end of their Little Parndon Journey. They climbed trees, played sports and enjoyed their fleeting moments embracing being children!
Last week, Year 2 sat in a lovey, shady part of the field to release their butterflies. They arrived to them as tiny caterpillars and year 2 watched them grow big and fat. They build a pupa before emerging as beautiful butterflies.
In Science, Year 5 have been learning all about reversible and irreversible changes. In this lesson, they practiced sieving and filtering different mixtures and decided which method was most appropriate for different substances. They then drew out their findings in their books.
EYFS and Year 2 were lucky enough to have a visit from BugFest last Friday. We got to see lots of creepy crawlies including giant snails, tarantulas, stick insects, cockroaches, millipedes, centipedes and beetles. Many of the children were even brave enough to hold some of them!

On Tuesday 16th June, Year 6 went on a local walk to carry out their fieldwork project. They have been exploring what fieldwork is, how geographers develop an enquiry question and how the local population affects climate change.
As part of their Summer Term Geography Curriculum, the Year 4 children built a model of a river system to develop their understanding of how rivers change from source to mouth.

Our Year 1 children in Hazel Class had a fantastic time exploring a variety of fruits and vegetables today. They enjoyed looking, touching, and tasting different healthy foods before sorting them into the correct fruit and vegetable groups.

The girls have been learning a wide range of football skills, including passing, dribbling, teamwork, and match play. It's wonderful to see their confidence and abilities growing each week.
Year 5 wrote some non-chronological reports about David Attenborough to celebrate his 100 years. They also sent them to him!
