A Uganda Red Cross Cross volunteer in Kagogo village, Uganda, Biringiro Fred goes door to door encouraging families to immunize their children, despite resistance from a local religious group that rejects vaccines and hides in nearby mountains during vaccination campaigns. The group relies on herbal remedies and recently lost four members to preventable diseases. Fred continues working with local leaders and faith authorities to counter misinformation, and some districts in the wider Mubende region are beginning to show improvement in vaccination efforts.
