Haha this Heat coffee shop scene with Pacino and De Niro is straight-up legendary.
They literally sat down to chat over coffee like old buddies… then dropped that I’d kill you line that still makes my skin crawl every time I rewatch it. The fact that they improvised the whole thing after no real rehearsal? Chef’s kiss.
That take-11 thing is insane. Mann swears almost the entire scene is just one single take or maybe two shot with three cameras over their shoulders while they’re actively shifting like they’re about to reach for weapons. 20 years later he still remembers the exact take number like it was yesterday.
De Niro hitting him with let’s not rehearse” was the move of the century. Pacino straight-up said he loves rehearsing, but they both knew for this scene they wanted that raw, in-the-moment electricity.
No scripted blocking, just two masters reacting to each other in real time. Genius.
The greatest comeback opening monologue in SNL history. I’ve always wondered if Lorne Michaels knew @normmacdonald was going to do such a brutal takedown of NBC execs and the show itself. (I suspect he did, and was in on the joke.)
The real story of how ESPN fired Ryan Clark is crazy...
@burackbobby_ is one of the best writers in America IMO. He got a scoop last week that ESPN was going to fire Clark and reached out to ESPN PR.
But because ESPN despises @Outkick, they gave the info to another reporter, then had to pull Clark off set during NFL Live to inform him they were letting him go, so that he wouldn't find out through social media.

"Show dignity to those people in how you let them go. It can't happen that Karl Ravech is contacted by somebody wanting a comment. 33 years, and that's how it ends? Show dignity, give them that dignity."

Tom Brady reveals the exact moment in their first game together he realized Randy Moss was going to change everything
" We go out there against the Jets in week one... I could feel the rush coming... I kind of like just as I was getting hit I threw it. And as I was going to the ground... I'm thinking all right, I kind of was throwing it out of bounds."
" And all of a sudden I hear the crowd go 'Oh.' And I looked up and I was like 'He caught that.'... He taps his feet and what should have been just a foul ball, he ends up it's like a 20-yard gain. And at that point I was like, 'This shit's going to be different.'"
One of the subtle details in American Gangster is Frank Lucas’ habit of pouring excessive amounts of sugar while dining.
Fans have long interpreted it as a silent cue for his bodyguards to stay alert before something is about to happen. The screenplay never explicitly confirms it, but the recurring gesture, especially before Frank confronts Tango, adds another layer to Denzel Washington’s calculated performance.
"If you're playing at 99%, you're going to be average. I wanted to always be at 110% or 120%. I didn't want to be at 95% or 98%. I just wanted to help my brothers win. ... I love you guys to death. You guys were a big part of the most fun I ever had playing football." - Bill Romanowski

Bobby Lee reveals why Joe Rogan and Carlos Mencia hate each other.
"When Rogan first moved to L.A., they went to play pool one night. I heard they got in a fight. Probably pool. I don't know. But it was a pretty bad fight. Okay. And I don't know what the fight was about, right? But I think that that was the beginning of the riff."
"I don't know if it was about Joe stealing, it could have been over a girl it could have been over the actual game of pool but I know from what I heard from other sources I don't know if it's verified or not so I'm going to say this but I think it's a resentment that stems from the beginning."
New: Joe Rogan visibly disturbed with historical investigator Timothy Alberino who just exposed the world’s biggest secret that there are real 12 foot giants living in Afghanistan that they don’t want you to know about:
ALBERINO: “This is a very dangerous topic to talk about. It’s easier to go to Antarctica than it is to go to Afghanistan.”
ROGAN: “Afghanistan is a very remote, mountainous place ran by warlords. They have Ancient Greek Temples there that nobody can study because it’s too dangerous.”
ALBERINO: “Nothing on this planet makes me more nervous than talking about specifically the Kandahar giant. I talk about UFOs, but the giants are what could land me in trouble.”
ROGAN: “Why’s that?”
ALBERINO: “People with high level clearance at the Pentagon will entertain talks with me about UFOs, but they literally warn me to be careful when I bring up Afghanistan giants.”
ROGAN: “Really. What do you make of that?”
ALBERINO: “I think there’s something supernatural going on here because nothing else makes sense.”
ROGAN: “There’s 8 foot tall humans though. There are actual giants that play for the NBA that we can see and meet.”
ALBERINO: “When I say giants I’m talking about 9-12 feet tall.”
ROGAN: “Devon Larratt who served over there told me they’re not just tall, but they’re also insanely wide as well. He said it was the biggest man he’s ever seen in his life.”
