Habe mir wieder 3h im Coworking einen Tisch gebucht. Gestern hatten wir japanisch Unterricht und nun kann ich es in Ruhe wiederholen. Es kamen auch neue kanji dazu und ich möchte endlich die Verben in meinen Kopf bekommen!!!!

'86: EIGHTY-SIX' Anime has been removed from Crunchyroll in multiple regions and also also reportedly be leaving Netflix in select regions soon.

With 86: EIGHTY-SIX reaching its 5th anniversary around the same time, it’s very likely the anime was originally licensed internationally under a roughly 5-year agreement negotiated with the Japanese rights holders that is now beginning to expire. Unless those licenses are renewed, series can quietly disappear from streaming platforms with little to no warning for fans.

This situation is exactly why so many anime fans have become increasingly frustrated with modern streaming services. Companies constantly encourage viewers to “watch anime legally” and support the industry, yet there’s never any guarantee that the shows you love will actually remain available on the platforms you’re paying for. One day a series is there, and the next it’s suddenly gone depending on your region.

It also highlights one of the biggest problems with digital streaming: fans don’t truly own access to the content they support. Licensing restrictions, regional availability, and expiring contracts can remove beloved series at any moment, making it harder for both longtime fans and new viewers to legally watch acclaimed anime like 86.
